Keep whole apples and oranges visible on the kitchen counter for a quick snack.
Arrange larger whole fruit as a table centrepiece, choosing pieces that cannot slip between the ribbons.
After shopping, place suitable fruit in the open bowl and remove it all before wiping the base and curved strips.

Wide curved ribbons hold whole apples and citrus with space between them. Rounded hems and a broad solid center define the proposed support geometry.
